Robert M. Jernigan, Jr., LMHC, CAP​

Robert “Bob” Jernigan serves as Clinical Director, bringing both clinical expertise and a deep personal passion for helping individuals achieve lasting sobriety and improved mental health. His journey in the behavioral health field began in 2007 as a volunteer at a faith-based recovery center, where his dedication and leadership quickly led to his promotion as Assistant Director. This early experience shaped his commitment to service and laid the foundation for his career in addiction and mental health treatment.

Bob earned his Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Indian River State College and his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Addiction Professional (CAP), he has extensive experience working across the full continuum of care in both substance use and mental health treatment settings.

In addition to his licensure, Bob is trained in Brainspotting, a neuroexperiential therapeutic approach that helps clients access, process, and release deeply rooted emotional pain and trauma. He is a strong advocate for integrative treatment, recognizing that each individual’s challenges are complex and multifaceted. His clinical philosophy combines evidence-based cognitive approaches with mindfulness and polyvagal-informed interventions to support emotional regulation, resilience, and a renewed sense of balance and wholeness.

As Clinical Director, Bob is dedicated to fostering a compassionate, client-centered environment while ensuring the highest standards of clinical care. He is committed to empowering individuals not only to achieve recovery, but to build meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Outside of his professional role, Bob enjoys staying active in the outdoors. His hobbies include running, mountain biking, archery, and fishing, all of which reflect his appreciation for balance, wellness, and connection with nature.
